Haha wow, that was fantastic! The mirror made me lol. I'm in the middle of Season 3 right now, but I think I may be falling behind in my Kingdom Hearts marathon, so I may put that on pause for the sake of making up ground. Well, I'm halfway through Assassin's Creed III, and decided to put my marathon of that series on hold, since I'm kind of burnt out now that I'm technically six games in, so you're doing much better than I am. I'll probably take a bit of a break once that marathon is over before marathoning Kingdom Hearts as marathons take serious dedication. Speaking of which, for me recent Pony marathons tend to end before I get through the entire series at this point. Maybe it's because the series is longer now, maybe it's because I've done my share of marathons, but I've been finding them more difficult lately. Granted I haven't done one for a while and I just got the season 7 DVD, so maybe I'll give it another shot soon. On a related note, the season 7 DVD set is the first that doesn't come with a cardboard sleeve. It seems like the budget is cut just slightly with each release. I remember when the discs had character artwork on them, but the last few haven't had that, and now even that hunk of cardboard that makes the set look nice has been omitted. WTF? I'm noticing that with Equestria Girls releases too, mind you. The Legend of Everfree bluray is as bare bones as it gets, and Magical Movie Night is only available on DVD. I suppose in the latter case it's because the series switched to smaller shorts, but it's still noticeable. Come to think of it, I don't think Forgotten Friendship or Rollercoaster of Friendship have an official home release. I suppose that sort of thing can be expected as any show begins to dwindle in popularity (which doesn't bode well for a complete series blu ray release after the show ends). Although, I've seen that happen with major movie releases. Sometimes I would buy a DVD, but it would be easy to touch the 2 covers together because there is a giant hole in the shape of the recycle symbol inside the front cover. Sure, they're trying to come off as eco-friendly, but in actuality they're spending less on plastic. I'm not caught up where I want to be in my KH marathon, but I did find some time to finish up Season 3. "Magical Mystery Cure" is still a wonderful episode, but it could have benefited so much from being a 2-parter. I know they didn't have the resources to pull it off at the time, but it would be so so nice if they could put out an extended version someday. Also, I forgot how painful it looks for Pinkie Pie to attempt to buck an apple tree. Her legs bend in a way that almost resembles a football player landing on the turf in the wrong way. >< It looks like the new Christmas special is on Netflix! Before I watch it, can you tell me if it spoils the second half of Season 8 at all?

There is a brief reference to Twilight running a school, but I think that's all the Student Six get. Even Starlight got the movie treatment here, as she and Trixie only appear twice, once as a background (or I guess foreground) cameo, and once in a brief unvoiced clip as part of a montage showing other ponies celebrating.

Cool, thanks! I might check it out sometime this weekend if that's the case. I'm slowly working my way through Season 4 right now. I forgot how stark the jump in quality was between seasons 3 and 4. I still have my issues with the logic behind "Daring Don't", but I still enjoyed it immensely once I suspended my disbelief.

When I first saw it I hated that episode, but after someone pointed out that the leap in logic makes sense in a fantasy world I've since been a lot more fond of it. I think my problem is I was approaching it with real-world logic. There's the occasional difference in logic that I think just makes Equestria, Equestria. For example I just finished reading a book where Lyra and Bonbon were sacked as Songbird Serenade's background dancers (a gig that had to have been arranged by their organization), and they convinced Pinkie to carry on their mission to investigate the whereabouts of a monster that was stolen from a S.M.I.L.E. transport and was thought to have been hidden backstage at the Glammys. That Pinkie bought that makes sense, as well as her acceptance of being told Lyra had wiped her memory like five times already, but for whatever reason Pinkie passes on what sounds like a tall tale to Songbird, who buys it right away. Normally I would think WTF? But, in Equestria I guess that sort of thing is less difficult to believe.

I watched the new Christmas special last night. I liked it a lot! I appreciated all of the nods to other Christmas specials throughout and I liked all of the sub plots the story had to tell. I understand why Starlight Glimmer couldn't be in it since there was so much going on as it is (plus she did sorta have a whole special to herself in "A Hearth's Warming Carol"). And while I don't mean to criticize Rarity's fashion sense, I don't think that hat would have suited AJ all that much, lol. But yeah, it was super nice to get yet another holiday special out of the show. The next episode in my marathon is "Pinkie Pride" (yay!). On the subject of Pinkie Pie, the Christmas album has forever ruined "The Twelve Days of Christmas" for me (in a good way). Whenever I hear the original, I keep thinking "5 gold rings" is going to be "5 cherry changas".

I recall listening to it once, but maybe I'll give it another try. On the subject of the Christmas special, Aurora, Bori and Alice is quite the pun, and what the heck kind of name is Bori?

I don't care if it's of questionable bootleg quality. Any kind of physical release is better than none.

Despite being hampered by several ongoing engagements, I'm still slowly chipping away through my rewatch of the show. I just watched "Slice of Life". A part of me feels like that episode should have won an Emmy for how risky it was (and perhaps for Gummy's soliloquy, lol; that still gave me a good laugh).

Well, April 6th is just around the corner. I can't wait! It's too bad that the series is ending. Both FiM and The Big Bang Theory are ending and I've been watching both of them for some time now, so it's going to be strange adjusting to a world where no more new episodes of either come out. At least FiM has a plethora of spinoff material to tide me over and there's still the entire 9th season to air.

It'll be like coping with Lost after it ended again. I finished Season 5 in my rewatch, but I don't think I'll be able to catch up before Season 9 starts. But since I've finished KH3, I should be able to devote loads more time to the show, so hopefully I won't be too far behind by the time Season 9 starts.

I guess I'll have to find a new series to follow. I'll probably keep up with the spinoff media in the short term, but I expect that will eventually dry up. I haven't heard about the comics or books ending, and I also heard Equestria Girls is planned to continue for a while yet.

I love the comics so much that it would be great if they continued long after the show ends. The medium gives so much freedom to what can be done with the characters. And how is it that after all these years, we haven't had an MLP game on PS4?
