Tross: It is, I saw it on a news cast. I literally gasped. How terrifying, and how tragic for the (six?) people who lost their lives. I sure don't envy the company behind the ship that caused it, or the current mayor and governor who had to talk about it.

Tross: That it does. I wouldn't classify volunteering for a week as a vacation, but it was a getaway of sorts, albeit more tiring. It was certainly rewarding though, and there are aspects of it that keep me coming back each year.

Tross: I'm back from my second time being away for a week without my phone, and while part of me is very much glad to be back, another part doesn't really want to be, as it's kind of freeing to be away from that stuff.

Tross: Well, looks like the FTC's case against the Activision deal has fallen through. I've noticed some of their games are on sale right now, so I've just spent less than $100 CAD to get most of the outstanding games and DLC I want before the deal closes.

Tross: Don't worry, I live in the safeish zone where we cut down all the trees to build homes. There was a really bad arson in my city recently though, so maybe one is never truly safe from fire. The rural parts of my region are getting hit pretty hard though.
