I created this thread upon the realization that the 2013 winter finale was the first time I ever considered myself stumped by the show. Riddle me this: why did Gold feel the need to kill both Pan and himself? Couldn't he have just killed Pan, or am I missing something? On top of that, there was the means it took to break Pan's curse, that being for Regina to give up the thing she loved most (Henry) in order to reverse all of the curse's effects upon tearing up the scroll, which includes erasing Storybrooke from the map and the characters' memories. Now true love's kiss defeated the curse at the end of Season 1, so...couldn't that have been done to stop Pan's curse from coming? I have a mind to blame lazy writing for both of these cases, but if anyone could provide a reasonable explanation, I'd love to hear it.

The season finale just aired tonight. So. What does everyone think of Elsa as Season 4's villain? Ever since I saw Frozen, I wondered right then if Once Upon a Time would borrow story elements from the movie and bring it into the show, or at least for one episode. But as it seems, it will likely be the main plot for the next season! I'm quite excited about this, but I'm equally heartbroken for Regina. I really wanted her to have a happy ending, but it seems as if it's impossible for her to have one.
