I'm just curious to see if anyone else has picked this up, or at least intends to. Being a South Park fan for well over a decade pretty much made this a must buy for me, considering the amount of involvement Matt and Trey had with the project.
I've put about 5 hours in, and I'm absolutely loving it so far. The town opens up fairly early in the game, and most of my time thus far has been spent exploring, getting collectibles, and completing some small-time side missions. I hate to repeat what every gaming news outlet has said, but it really does feel like you're playing an episode of the show. From the animation to the voice acting to the content and humor, it's a complete package. My only complaint is that I experience some framerate issues while the game is autosaving, but that's small potatoes.

I intend to pick it up someday, maybe when the price drops a bit. I'm especially intrigued by the turn-based combat, which RPG's have generally been throwing out the window lately.

WOW. WOW WOW WOW.
I have NO idea how this game made it through the ESRB intact, and only with an M rating. I guess being a cartoon gives you a little more freedom from the powers that be. If you think the show/movie is at all offensive, this game will blow your goddamn mind. That being said, everything is so over the top that it's still wildly hilarious (if you like their style of humor). I'm also finding myself getting really drawn into the world, trying to get all the collectibles and complete as many quests as possible. The battle system and customization really seems to be fleshing out, which is awesome. This game is definitely going to be Plat #4 for me, since it should only take me one more speedy playthrough to miss get some trophies I messed up early on.

If the game reaches a price drop, I'll consider buying South Park: Stick of Truth.
