I've had my Vita for months, but I finally ordered a memory card to be able to make use of it. So while I'm waiting for that to arrive, what are some of your recommendations? These can include Vita titles and digital games off of the PlayStation Store, as I ordered a large enough memory card for quite a few games. It may take a while to follow up on said recommendations because I already have Final Fantasy II thru Final Fantasy IX lined up, as well as Dissidia: Duodecim and Uncharted: Golden Abyss, but hey, I'll catch up on my backlog someday. I also have the Persona games in the back of my mind as they were recommended to me by several friends already.

Persona 3 Portable is a pretty poor port of Persona 3 IMHO, but with extra content such as a female version. Persona 4: Golden on the other hand is everything a Vita port of a PS2 title should be, with not only visual enhancements, but a great deal of extra content that more than justifies the purchase even if you've already played the original game. Both are more than worth checking out if you haven't played either game before. Personas 1 and 2 are remakes of old JRPGs that may be worth checking out if you're curious, but are nothing like the modern Persona games, and are pretty tedious IMHO, but then old school JRPGs generally are. I think it's more the grid based battles that I dislike. I own them for the novelty, and I may play through them eventually, but I don't think they're the greatest.
For the Vita, I think the Danganronpa series is great. Start with the first game as later entries build on it, but I think it's a solid series. The Soul Sacrifice and Toukiden series are also quite good. There are a lot more PSP games that I would recommend, and PS1 classics. Perhaps it's easier if you let me know what genres you prefer, and I can narrow that down accordingly.

Isn't there a Tales game for the Vita?

Isn't there a Tales game for the Vita? There is Tales of Hearts R. I haven't played it, but I'm sure it's a decent entry in that series. If you like JRPGs, you should browse all that's available on the Vita. The Vita itself has an ok selection, but the PSP was great for JRPGs, and the majority of them are Vita compatible. It actually has a number of JRPGs that are $10 or less, and they're generally pretty solid. As the Vita plays many digital PSP titles that actually makes it a pretty economical yet solid system for JRPG fans. Not all are great classics, but I'd recommend perusing those first and foremost. Just stay away from the Valhalla Knights games. They look good in their trailers, but...I'd recommend playing something else. Maybe try Lunar Silver Star Harmony.
