All I know of Xbox is what I've played or seen my friends play during college, and I am with you on the Fable collection idea. It definitely looks like something that would be up my alley despite it being a wrpg, a genre I tend to have a hard time getting into. There's that and Left 4 Dead (which apparently I was a beast at the first time playing it; in fact I'm oddly good at FPS games despite my usual distaste for them). I had to think hard about that one. I was also torn between just going along with the popular opinion, and effectively playing a character, or being genuine. When it comes to Xbox, being genuine is tough, but I think I accomplished it with that piece, hence Gears being as far back on my list as I could put it. I completely forgot about L4D. That probably would have taken my number 5 slot. That just goes to show what percentage of my thoughts go towards Xbox, which is not very high. I guess I could write my multiplat piece next, but I actually have something better lined up for tomorrow, so stay tuned for that. Edit: It's up now, so check it out!

You got in touch with a dev? Nice! I haven't heard of this game, but now that I am aware of its existence I might check it out someday. It's cool when people like that are open to taking their time to answer their fans' questions. I only wish that I was able to get in touch with Nobuo Uematsu when I wrote my paper on him, but sadly he never had a public email address.

I partnered with the owner of another blog, who offered to set up this interview for me, on the agreement that I would also post the interview on his site, and that it would be the post linked to N4G. You can find his blog here: simplyplaystationgaming.com It doesn't look like he's posted it yet. Anyways, it was my first interview, and to be honest, I haven't actually played the game. I think I did an ok job of pretending I knew what I was talking about though. I'm interested in checking it out now, so I'll look into it, once I have more money, of course. I wonder if Simply Chalky got in touch with Zoink! through Games Press. I do have an account there, but I have yet to contact any of the devs on there, largely due to nerves. I mean, what would I even say to a game dev? I think I should look into getting one or two on my own though, at some point.

Haha, I never really connected the idea of Microsoft's green-ness to their greed. It fits. Darnit, I just looked up this year's E3 dates; it's not until June 10th. Isn't it usually closer to the 1st of June…?

Waiting for E3 is like waiting for Christmas. Ya...it's the most wonderful time of the year, for gamers. I also liken it a bit to the Super Bowl, because there's the thrill of competition between the big three, and it is the most watched videogame event. Nothing tops actually being there, but live streams are a great way to watch a conference from home. I wish I was going again this year. Oh well. I'm happy to leave a slot open for another MVP to go. As much as there's some disconnect between the old MVPs, and the newer recruits, I think everyone should have the opportunity to go to the big event, even though, in reality, few people really do. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be an MVP anyways. I'm not going to quit anytime soon, but I haven't been that active over there for a while, especially now that I have my own blog.

That's the funny thing: even though I publicly announced my leave of the program, I still have MVP status. Someone recently tried to send me a friend request via their PS3 saying that they saw my username on the list of MVP's and they wanted to add me. Clearly they don't care about inactivity whatsoever seeing as it's been 4 months since I left if I'm still listed as an MVP. I know some of the things I'd like to see at E3, but one thing I think is possible is the announcement of a Sly 5. I'm only speculating on the fact that Kevin Miller (the voice of Sly) was once an active admin on his Facebook page until he suddenly stopped updating the page for months until recently. So either he's been doing voice work for Sly 5, or someone finally agreed to let him play Sly in the movie.

I can't imagine why they wouldn't get Kevin Miller to play Sly in the movie, but the voices are the least of my concerns about that film, based on the trailer. I hope a new Sly game is in the works though. They ended on a cliffhanger. I've played enough games that end on cliffhangers in recent years, that it's getting quite old. At least, if A new one is released, we won't have to wait for a localization, as the case is with the new Corpse Party. Of course, some series, like Zero Escape, just end, period. What a joke. Cliffhangers: no! Of course, I'm assuming you played Sly 4 through to the end(and I'm assuming you have, or else, spoilers), then you know that Sly's not around. I'm going to assume the next game will be about finding him, and will star Carmelita, with Bentley and Murray continuing to be prominent supporting characters. Kevin Miller's role, would probably be at least somewhat reduced, even if Sly is found pretty quickly. Do you think they should stick to the standard format for this next game, or should they do something like Daxter, and have Carmelita traverse a world designed around her abilities? I think Sanzaru has proven themselves with the last game, so I think they'll make a solid sequel either way. This latest entry might be a good chance for the other characters to shine too, so I'm looking forward to that.

There is more to this program than posting in the forums. If you would like the PlayStation MVP status removed from your PlayStation Network ID for good then let me know and I will tell community management. Publicly announcing your resignation from the PlayStation MVP Program might not do anything unless you actually speak with community management. In other words, no one is looking at your posts 24/7. As it stands, people might assume that you will change your mind about your PlayStation MVP status later down the road and be glad you didn't remove yourself from the program.

My expectations dipped even more so when I learned that the movie is being written and directed by the guy that did the infamously bad TMNT movie. Yep, I got Sly 4 on release day and enjoyed every minute of it. Though I always assumed that the next game would be about finding Sly for maybe just the first episode and things would be back to normal for the remainder of the story. Having the next game star Carmelita entirely is an interesting thought, though I don't quite see how they could keep her gameplay fresh since she (like Bentley and Murray) are far less capable than Sly is. I can't imagine not being able to rail walk or ninja spire jump my way from level to level for an extended period of time. Unless, say, Bentley and Murray let Carmelita borrow the Thievious Raccoonus to study up on Sly's skill set. Then maybe you've got something there.

I have never seen a site with so many jerks and trolls outside of YouTube.

Oh man, I'm behind. Why must my job make me work every day of the week? Nostalgia and Retro Gaming: What I find ridiculous is I've met people who didn't get into gaming early on enough, and as a result, they claim that older graphics make games unplayable for them. This girl I knew in college would have to ask if a game had good graphics in response to my throwing a recommendation at her. She says the "lowest" graphical appearance she can accept is something of the likes of Resident Evil 4. She also said everyone has been telling her to check out Kingdom Hearts, but she couldn't get into it because it "looked too ridiculous." Which not only means that she can't get into older games, but she also can't get into anything that's stylized. Five Ways to Cope: First of all, that isn't a screenshot of your own account information, is it? Because I can see the card number. Second, I don't usually find it particularly hard to afford a new game for several reasons. I'm quite cheap with everything else except games. I don't like to drive far because it consumes gas, and I don't like to buy food because they'll just turn to bowel movement three hours later (don't worry, this will change when I move out; I won't die of starvation). I also don't tend to pay the full price for a game unless it's an entry in a series that I love enough that waiting beyond release day isn't an acceptable option. I've yet to get around to the God of War origins collection or God of War III, which works out great for me seeing as the former is $14 and the latter is $20 on Amazon right now. However this is different when it comes to the arrival of a new console generation. Part of how I cope with that is by waiting until a handful of must-haves are available for it; in the meantime, the system can drop in price, become available as a bundle, or even witness a hardware improvement in a later iteration by the time I am ready to buy. Only this generation is even more difficult for me because the PS4 and the Wii U are both in my line of sight. So is the Vita, but really only for Uncharted: Golden Abyss; I'm mostly waiting on meeting someone who has a Vita so I can borrow it. EDIT: That last thought just reminded me to check out Rent-A-Center's website. Sadly they only have PS4's, XBOne's, and 3DS' for rent. Lame.

You can't really fault people who got into gaming more recently, for being unable to look at classic games, because they were made before what they're used to looking at. I was raised on 16 bit games, and though I don't mind looking at some 8 bit games, other just don't work for me, and I have a much more difficult time with anything prior to the 3rd gen, because it's just outside of my prism of experience. Of course, some longtime gamers say they can't go back to playing retro games. To each their own, I guess. I've also met people who haven't been gaming for as long as we have, but who do enjoy retro games.
As of the end of this month, my funds have more or less recovered, but I blew quite a bit on school and my blog, and needed to pay my bills. I'll be acquiring Mind Zero shortly.

I haven't played Harvest Moon, but I don't think it's a smart idea to change the name. It might not get the attention of all of Harvest Moon's fans.
