There's nothing I hate more when it comes to "Favorite Games of All Time" lists than when the host of said poll limits the options to a small subset of games. Remember when we had that MVP Top 100? That was the perfect way to compile a list, in my opinion. As much as I like Final Fantasy X, there are better RPG's out there (like you said). I'm quite shocked to see the original Resident Evil on this list, when all anyone has cared about has been Resident Evil 4 for years. As a general statement, this is my response to that list: I come across bogus lists so often, and every time it grinds my gears. Have you ever watched a WatchMojo.com countdown on YouTube? They have a tendency (in my opinion) to build up a reasonably great list, and then troll everyone with their #1 choice. For example, they counted down the Top 10 anime intros. As the countdown went on, the songs were catchier and more complicated, but then #1 ended up being the Pokemon theme PURELY out of nostalgia. The Pokemon theme above "GO - Fighting Dreamers" ( Naruto) and "Guren no Yumiya" ( Attack on Titan)? I don't think so.

I'm not familiar with that YouTube channel, but you aren't exactly selling me on it. I wouldn't normally consider a bad list newsworthy, but that particular one by Turtle Beach had a huge hype train. They publicized it prior to the poll, and I guess they can't take all the blame, because they had users weigh in with their favorite games, and formulated the list based on that. Still, their methods were flawed, since they hosted this thing exclusively on the site they set up for it, and even though they advertised it prior, it wasn't advertised absolutely everywhere, and most people can't be bothered to take time out of their day to participate in something like that. I'm sure fans of Turtle Beach products were more likely to participate than anyone else, but I actually don't know how they got people's opinions to make this list. It must have been in a forum of sorts. I really don't know, but one thing I do know is that the list they have sucks. The entire charade is more than likely an elaborate publicity stunt to promote Turtle Beach products anyways.

Everyone hears about how bad the list is, and suddenly they become familiar with the brand. And I agree, the sun is overrated. Or like you said, I'd be more apt to go outside if it weren't quite as hot (or if I didn't have other things I'd rather do). If it's one thing everyone seems to love that I CAN'T STAND is going to the beach; I mean, I love the sights and sounds of the beach, but like Anakin Skywalker, I hate sand: it's coarse, it gets everywhere, but above and beyond all, it is TOO DAMN HOT. I feel like only masochists would be willing to venture out onto hot sand, but I guess that makes almost everyone a masochist. :/

It burns when walking on it barefoot, but if you wear sandles or flip flops, it gets in them, and either way, it gets stuck between your toes. The number one reason I don't go to the beach though, is because my physique leaves a lot to be desired, and I prefer to keep my shirt on.

Yaaaaaay for Season 3 of The Walking Dead. ^^ Avoid Tobuscus at all costs; he's been spoiling things just by the titles and thumbnails of his Let's Plays of Season 2. ><
I can't say that I've really "fallen behind" on a series, per se, though I have yet to check out the God of War series besides the first 2 games. But if I take interest in Batman: Arkham Knight, I may be in a very similar boat as you in the future. Oh, and there's Assassin's Creed; I've played the first one and wasn't too crazy about it. I've heard that the second one improves on every aspect of the first game, so I might check out Assassin's Creed II someday; but unless that one REALLY impresses me, I have no intention of venturing further into the series when it became a cash cow (this conclusion was reached with the knowledge that Assassin's Creed III was originally intended to be the final entry in the series).

Noted about Tobuscus. I'm in the same boat about Assassin's Creed. I didn't much care for the first game, but I was considering giving the series another chance at some point, and then it became a cash cow with annual releases, and I lost all interest in it. I actually did start playing Persona 4: Golden. As of right now, I'm further than I was when I posted my first impressions. It looks like the game not only added some stuff to do at night, but I'm under the impression that Yu won't be "too tired" after TV Land exploration to do anything else(though I could be wrong about that). There's a hint of a possible vegetable garden mechanic that would probably add virtually nothing to the game, and there are some useless online mechanics. Why would I be interested in what other players did on the same day in the game, or what fusions are the most popular with the combination of Personas I have.
Players can also "rescue" each other in dungeons, but I can't imagine anyone being so useless at such a straightforward game, unless they're playing on very hard. Marie deals with something called skill cards, which contain skills for personas to inherit, but why she needs to exist for that is beyond me. For the most part, the game is still Persona 4, through and through, but I do tend to fixate on new content with enhanced ports, especially since this isn't my first time playing Persona 4.

I'd love to chip into my backlog this summer, but dis job makes it hard to do that. I get a couple hours per night, but that's about it.

As of yesterday, my blog is being updated again daily. I took a three day leave of absence for you know what, but that's over now. So a Sword Art Online game is coming? Nice. I feel like it's a matter of time before an Attack on Titan game comes along. There IS one on the 3DS, but it's exclusive to Japan (and it looks like it has problems from what I've seen from a Let's Play video; looks fun, though). I feel like PS4 would be more appropriate; a game about slaying giants should take place on a bigger screen, imo.

It's digital only, and only has Japanese voices, and it's not a VR game, nor is it online, but at least we got it. I've heard mixed things about it, but it's apparently a good rpg/bishoujo game if you're a fan of the anime, manga or light novels. I want to get it, but I'll have to hold off. I'm not sure about spending $40 on a digital only title, and I already spent way more than I should have this past weekend, so it may be a while before I have it. I think I'm going to pass on writing a piece today. There just isn't anything really newsworthy IMHO, and I don't know if I'm up for writing a full opinion piece just yet. Plus, Playstation Enthusiast has me on news, so I'd just be posting an opinion piece on my blog. It is my blog, so I can take all the absences I want. We'll see, because I work in the morning tomorrow, which won't be convenient for fitting in a blog entry, so I might have to do one later in the day. Edit: looks like I found something after all. It should be posted shortly.

I think they have good intentions given that they diverted the Lizard Squad attack (why do I think of Lizalfos?), on top of the fact that they hacked PSN in 2011 without compromising personal information. Thing is, I have no clue what it is they're trying to communicate.

Thing is, I have no clue what it is they're trying to communicate. They are mysterious. I know they weren't responsible for PSN being down as long as it was. People blame them, but that's actually a myth. Heck, they weren't even responsible for the network being down. Sony decided to shut it down, and keep it down until they could beef up PSN's security. Anonymous may not have even accessed anyone's personal information. Sony had to cover all their bases though. Anonymous did hack PSN though, to further a cause that only hardcore PC enthusiasts supported, so I don't think their intentions were good enough. If nothing else though, PSN is more secure thanks to them. I personally haven't thought about them since the 2011 hack, and am perfectly content to bury the hatchet, especially if they aided in fending off a recent attack. It's possible they're simply trying to restore their reputation. I don't think they have it out for Sony anymore. They may have only been trying to make a point, and that's all in the past now.

At first I was like, "Awww man" when I read that you're signing off on your blog, but I am so happy to see that you're being paid to write elsewhere! Do you have a specific page on PlayStation Enthusiast that I might bookmark? I know you didn't write this, but I just read through the article on the missing platformers. It'd be nice to see if the Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper films spark a renewed interest in platforming titles, but I'm not holding my breath. I won't see Ratchet and Clank regardless of how good it turns out to be, but Sly Cooper is guaranteed to suck the big one, given the writer/director's track record. And I pray that Rainmaker doesn't touch Jak and Daxter; it'll be The Lost Frontier on a bigger screen.

Yeah, between school, work and another blog, it became more and more difficult to keep up with this one. I don't have a specific page on Playstation Enthusiast, but my stuff shows up on the main page when I post it. I don't post everyday, with my current schedule what it is, and there has to be some decent news to tackle, but I aim to have at least 3 pieces published in a week, if not 4 or 5. My personal blog is staying where it is, and if my PSE gig falls through for whatever reason, I can always pick it right back up. If you've been following my Gameville posts, you'll be only a couple posts behind. I meant to keep reporting my stuff till the end, but I decided to keep my focus on PSE, and that's why I had to hang it up, for now. Also, I'm being paid to post these pieces for PSE, and the editors have helped me improve my writing. I think they deserve exclusivity, even though they never explicitly stated I can't repost my stuff on my personal blog. I don't have high hopes for those movies, and am expecting them to be terrible, but because I'm either a huge Sly fan or a glutton for punishment(or some combination of both), I'll see that movie. I don't plan on buying it though. At worst, I'll have to put up with an hour and a half to two hours of horrendous CG and poor writing. If nothing else, it'll be review worthy, if I'm on reviews at that point(I'm currently just on news right now).
